Vera Artisan Bakery

Vera Artisan Bakery is a micro-bakery specialising in hand-crafted sourdough breads made with flour, water, salt, and two special ingredients: time and love.

HANDCRAFTED

The Barnton Street based bakery uses only local, natural and seasonal ingredients and its 100% sourdough baked goods are hand-made fresh every day.

OVERCOMING ADVERSITY

The bakery opened in Barnton Street in February 2020 and has quickly developed a loyal customer base despite the challenges posed by Covid-19. 

The business is run by Texy Vera, who moved to Stirling from Tenerife three years ago where she had worked as a baker for 10 years. 

During the pandemic Texy and her sister kept the business running by offering a home delivery service. 

Texy said: “It’s always been my dream to open my own artisan bakery and we opened just one month before the lockdown happened . We were so pleased that customers continued to support us during these crazy times. The bakery has had a great reception so far!”

NEW MENU

Vera Artisan Bakery is now fully open again with a new menu including homemade waffles, sourdough sandwiches, bagels, cakes and cookies, as well as great coffee from Fallen Tree.

Open Monday- Thursday 9.30am-4pm and Friday-Saturday 9.30am-5pm. Closed on Sundays.
