Jacqueline started The Golden Bottom Bakery as a creative way to blend her professional experience in baking and pastry with her curiosity and ambition.
This passion project quickly grew into a beloved local brand, selling products through independent retailers.
What makes Jacqueline’s granola truly unique is not just the care and consideration that goes into each batch, but the story behind the bakery’s unforgettable name!
“The name ‘Golden Bottom’ was inspired by a few playful factors,” said Jacqueline. “First, the term “soggy bottom,” popularised by a certain baking show, contrasted with the fact that my bakes always had a golden base.
“Then, there’s the gold leggings I wore when I dressed up as Freddie Mercury for my 30th birthday party!”
This blend of creativity, fun and attention to detail is what defines The Golden Bottom Bakery.

Jacqueline specialises in creating artisanal granola that is both wholesome and tasty. Using only Scottish Oats, which are known for their health-giving benefits.
Each product is vegan-friendly, and made with eco-consciousness in mind, embodying the values of a business built on care and sustainability.
“I make my granola with care and consideration, producing a product that’s based around oats grown here in Scotland.” says Jacqueline. “My business is wholesome, fun, and energetic, just like the ingredients I use and the process I follow.
“I use only the best quality, creamiest grains.”
What makes Jacqueline’s success even more impressive is that The Golden Bottom Bakery is a solo endeavour; with Jacqueline handling everything from baking to business development.
Occasionally, her daughters lend a helping hand, and she is surrounded by a supportive network of friends and fellow local business owners.
Despite being a small operation, Jacqueline’s dedication has led to big successes, including winning a prestigious Great Taste Award in 2024.
Jacqueline is also deeply committed to supporting her local community. She promotes local stockists on social media and frequently collaborates with other businesses: “A collaboration with The Hideaway Cafe in Bridge of Allan is already in the works, and I’m looking forward to hosting pop-up events, including one at Bowhouse in Fife over Christmas.”

Jacqueline has big plans for The Golden Bottom Bakery. Not content with just serving local retailers, she aims to take her business to a global audience, releasing two new varieties of her signature granola in the near future.
An exciting event in Portugal is already on the calendar for next June, marking the first step toward international expansion.
“I want to take The Golden Bottom Bakery worldwide,” Jacqueline said. “There’s so much potential to share the care, quality, and fun that goes into everything I create with a broader audience.”
The Golden Bottom Bakery’s signature granola is available through local independent retailers and online.
