A new chapter has begun at JAADOO Indian Restaurant in Alloa, where experienced chef Ratheesh Raveendran has recently taken over the popular Mill Road restaurant.
With 25 years in hospitality and as the owner of Stirling’s Spice Garden, Ratheesh brings a wealth of culinary expertise along with a passion for authentic South Indian cuisine.
He said: “We want people to enjoy all the Indian dishes they know and love, while also introducing them to the flavours and traditions of South India.”

While favourites such as kormas, bhunas and grilled dishes remain on the menu, JAADOO also offers speciality curries inspired by southern India.
Among the standout dishes is the restaurant’s signature Kerala Fish Curry, prepared using carefully selected spices and traditional techniques.
Quality and flavour are at the heart of every dish, with meats marinated the day before to achieve maximum tenderness and depth of flavour.
Ratheesh said: “Good food takes time. We marinate our meats because that’s how you achieve the flavour and quality our customers deserve.”
Located on Mill Road, JAADOO offers free parking directly outside the restaurant. Customers can also take advantage of special dining offers and set takeaway menus available through the restaurant’s website.
Ratheesh is passionate about giving back to the local community, regularly donating vouchers to local fundraising raffles and creating opportunities for young people through apprenticeships.

As the restaurant enters a new era, Ratheesh hopes to continue building on JAADOO’s reputation while bringing new flavours and experiences to local diners.
He said: “Hospitality is all about looking after people. Whether they’re eating in, ordering a takeaway or joining us for a special occasion, we want every customer to feel welcome.”
