FRESHLY PREPARED EVERY DAY

Quality ingredients are central to everything the team does.

Meat is sourced through Caledonia Market in Stirling, while fruit and vegetables come from trusted local suppliers. Every morning, staff prepare a range of products fresh on the premises.

Their award-winning steak pies and sausages have become customer favourites, while the deli counter offers cold meats, salads, soups and ready-to-enjoy meals.

Leann explained: “The secret is consistency. Customers know they’ll get the same quality every time they walk through the door.”

INVESTING IN THE FUTURE

J & W Aitken is passionate about preserving traditional butchery skills through apprenticeships and training.

The business works with Craft Skills Butchers to nurture future talent, and the newest apprentice has a particularly special connection to the company as the grandson of the original owner.

Long-serving employees are also a vital part of the story, including Brian, who has been with the business for more than 30 years.

A BUSINESS THAT GIVES BACK

Community support has always been part of the company’s ethos.

The team regularly contributes to local causes, supports school fundraising initiatives and hosts a Giving Tree campaign, with staff wrapping donated presents for local families during the festive season.

Leann said: “We have always believed that being part of a community means supporting it wherever you can.”
