Brewhouse owner Douglas Ross said: “We see it as our privilege to give each and every one of our valued guests a unique and unforgettable experience. We welcome you to join us for a pint by our log burning fire and soak up the friendly atmosphere. Customer satisfaction is our number one goal at all times, achieving this not only in a professional manner but with warmth and personality.”
The friendly brewery team is not only knowledgeable about the wide range of beers on offer; staff are also happy to share their top tips on what to do whilst visiting the area.
Douglas added: “We work closely with Visit Scotland and our team regularly attend local tourism familiarisation trips that help them develop their tourism knowledge. They know our local tourist attractions inside out and are only too happy to give advice on places to visit. Nothing is too much trouble for our staff and they’ll always go the extra mile to make our customers happy.”
The brewery offers a range of 8 award-winning artisan cask ales and real traditional ciders to tantalise the taste buds, along with over 20 bottled products all brewed on the premises using locally sourced 100% natural ingredients and traditional brewing methods.
Douglas said: “We pride ourselves on our passion for artisan craft beers. The enthusiasm of our staff is infectious and contributes to the cheerful and chilled atmosphere of the establishment. Our passion is also evident in our ales, with each beer crafted with love and careful attention, resulting in beers worthy of note, a return visit and a rich rewarding customer experience.”
The brewery also offers free beer tastings, free coffee, Fairtrade and Gluten Free products, and home cooked meals using locally sourced food and drink produce.
Passionate about educating the next generation, the brewery also works with local primary schools and visiting overseas pupils to teach them about the brewing process. They also work with older students from Forth Valley College, Perth College, Herriot Watt Brewing School and local scout groups to educate them about beer and its social aspects, but also the dangers of alcohol.
In 2013 Allanwater Brewhouse won ‘Best Tourism Business’ at the Stirling Business awards and was shortlisted for Visit Scotland’s Thistle Award for ‘Scotland’s Friendliest Pub’ in 2017. The brewery is also recognised in Trip Advisor’s Hall of Fame.
Douglas added: “We like to know what our guests think and keep a visitor’s book. It’s full of amazing comments from people from all over the world on what a wonderful experience they’ve had while visiting the brewhouse and that, to us, is the biggest reward for all our hard work.”
